The following objectives, methods, and measures will be used to demonstrate the evidence of continued preparation and study.
Objective 1: Remain current in one’s professional discipline and/or special field of study to enable my ability to teach relevant content.
Professional memberships: I plan to maintain my membership in the Small Business Institute and the Project Management Institute.
Professional media subscriptions: I plan to subscribe to the New York Times, Washington Post, New Yorker, Videomaker, and the American Cinema Editor publications, and will use content from these sources in my courses.
Membership renewal information for Small Business Institute and Project Management Institute. Subscription information for to the New York Times, Washington Post, New Yorker, Videomaker, and the American Cinema Editor. List and description of at least 6 articles reviewed that will be used in courses.
I will use available resources to remain current in my professional discipline and include updated content in my courses.
Objective 2. Participate in seminars, workshops and continuing education courses, and/or formal education/study to increase ability to teach new methods and content.
Attend professional meetings, conferences and continuing education courses.
I plan to attend one conference and attend one continuing education course per year. Here is the plan for 2021 and 2022:
Small Business Institute Annual Conference: I plan to attend the Small Business Institute Annual Conference in February of 2021 and 2022 and will attend as many panels and breakout sessions as I can.
OK Zoomer II or similar course: I plan to attend at least one virtual external continuing education course per year.
Receipt and list of sessions/course attended and description of one method/technique that will be implemented in a course from the conference and the continuing education course.
I will attend one virtual conference and one external continuing ed course per year. I will include new techniques and/or content in my courses.
